Today: When you donate your land or capital to a land trust or non-profit network one of two things happens.

1) A lot of that capital gets used up in the bureaucracy of the organization, and without transparent accounting that cost of impact is hard to trace. (sometimes more than 50% )

2) The story of the impact is not shared, thus very few people ever hear about your donation. Non-profits are rarely social media pros, and most of their grass roots work goes unnoticed despite huge donations and scope.

So how to down change this?

Tomorrow: Land Coin solves these issues by creating the first fully transparent secondary market for trading the impact of real world non-profit eco-agricultural investment.

We are a Vesting token, meaning LandCoin Tokens are only issued(Minted) when we release them after receiving receipts for donations to IRS approved Non-profits. We further vet these donations by only approving donations to specific non profits that work on projects that meet our ecological, agricultural and social impact criteria.
And we fix the issue of the social vacuum by creating a social platform that connects investors, impact stewards and laypeople in one place and shows the real world impact of the donations in real time. This platforms ensures transparency of donation impact, and is designed to encourage future non-profit donation. Investors get seen for the good they are doing. Stewards get seen for the regeneration they are engaged with on the land. And the users of the platform get to see in real time how the platform and impact are growing based upon their trade within the secondary market.

How it Works

Token Economics:
With 10 trillion mineable coins and an initial $1-$1 exchange for impact, LandCoin works by simply vetting or verifying the fact that someone donated money or real property to one of our 501(c)3 Non-Profit partners. Once this has been verified we issue tokens at the market rate value equal to that verified donation(This changes based on on the current market trade rate of the LandCoin Token).
In this way we are simply mimicking the way the IRS currently verifies non-profit donation, via receipt of donation, but we add the additional layers of: Transparency and shareable impact. No more closed door deals, if you're getting our tokens your contributing to an open source transparent non-profit network focused on efficiency of impact.
What happens once a token in minted?
As our 10 Trillion coins are slowly minted, there will then become a resale market. The secondary trade of these tokens on and off our platform, will of course thus change the market price of the token, and thus the exchange rate of tokens per impact dollar for future donators.
Whats interesting is that unlike most tokens that build in scarcity via the "Difficulty" of mining or scarcity of tokens, LandCoin is betting on the fact that the subsequent donations into the system will not be able to keep up with the desire on the secondary market and thus the longer you hold land coin the more it will come to stand for and the more it will be seen as valuable to hold.
Remember each token stands for a real world "event" of donation that can be traced in real time via the online platform. No smoke and mirrors, no "green washing" possible impact, its all on there for you see for yourself.
To us this creates value:
-Transparency: Everyone can see the money as it flows into the system and tack in real time what non-profits benefited and what they did with the donated money.
-Impact: Every coin minted stands for immediate preservation of land, and a commitment to future impact through regenerative stewardship of that land.

We only accept donations to our Non-Profit partners. We select 501 (c)3 Non-Profit Land Trusts and associated organizations that work actively to preserver land in perpetuity for Regenerative AG, Eco-Housing and Eco-System Preservation.
Stewardship
We work with non-profits that are placing stewards, real people with real skills, on the ground to live on and tend to the properties in the network.
Without boots on the ground we can't hope to do the work of regeneration properly.
Tracing
Unlike traditional non-profits we require all organizations working with us to agree to full transparency of funding and impact. We use satellites and on the ground sensors to monitor change in the eco-system and employee the land stewards themselves to upload content directly to the social platform.
